Semi-Automatic Pesticide Sprayer
Abstract
The present idea deals with the designing and fabricating a pesticide sprayer which will be useful and affordable to the farmer which will assist to increase the productivity of crops. As India is agriculture based country and 70% people do farming and related work. Agriculture is required to be boomed to enhance the GDP of the country by improving the productivity. The productivity of the crops can be increased with the help of pest control. Pesticide spraying is the necessary procedure in cultivation of the crops. This process is very time consuming and laborious. Through this project an attempt has been done to improve the method of spraying the pesticide that will enhance the productivity and increase the farmer’s income.
The general spraying technique uses hand operated backpack sprayer where constant pumping is required to operate it which is very laborious and time consuming. Moreover, very less area is covered while spraying and hence more time is required to spray the entire land. Also muscular and back pain disorder arises due to carrying 10-20 liters tank on the back. For alleviating these problems during pesticide spraying and accomplishing the timeliness operation an attempt was made to develop semi-automated pesticide sprayer. In this paper the main focus will be on understanding the electronics behind the semi automation of pesticide spray with working and programming of Arduino board and relay circuits in integration with sensors and valves.
