Integrating Social Media and Talent Management
Abstract
As the war of talent continues organizations are leveraging platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, Instagram, and Twitter for product development, social commerce as well as talent acquisition and management. While social media and talent management is swiftly budding as a research field, there are many areas and questions that need to be explored. These questions are likely to have a particularly important applied advantage as they represent some of the key challenges organizations are grappling with in effectively managing their talent. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the knowledge about talent management and the role of social networks. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge pertaining to the organizational benefits that can be garnered from SNSs. However, this paper is aimed at finding out impact of social networking sites on talent management and to identify to what extent the usage of these methods leads to effective talent managementand also help other companies which have not yet explored the potential benefits of social media in understanding how they can leverage social media for talent management
