Abstract

In the modern era, automobiles are no longer considered as mere mechanical devices; they emerge from the combination of mechanical, electrical, computer and applied control engineering, and are pervasively monitored and controlled by multiple digital and communication based mechanisms. The transformation of automobiles from being mere mechanical to mechatronics, brings major advancements in security and efficiency but at the same time, it also introduces a range of new potential risks. In this article, we experimentally evaluate these issues on a modern automobile and develop a two way remote keyless entry system which aims at providing secured environment for the vehicles.
