ICT for Honing Linguistic Skills

Abstract

With the day to day progress in Information Communication Technology (ICT), it is becoming easier and convenient to learn the languages, particularly, the international language like English. There is a well accepted principle in education that seeing is believing and the ICT is such a powerful means that it can address this concern. It can make the learning experience very interesting and enriching.  The only requisite thing is that the learner should have the hardware and software to use and the proper motivation, initiative and skills to learn the language. In the recent time, Instructional technology (IT) has become an integral part of teaching and learning, both in and out of the classroom. The use of technology in the effective manner while learning and teaching English can yield very tangible results. ICT as a means is very important but equally important is the user who can put the technology to various uses to achieve the objectives. He can find out ways and means to enhance learning and teaching.
